Senegal offers a secure environment, which allows to envisage confident and fruitful relations. The legal, economic and political environment is transparent and legible and against strong powers make a sieve or an ideal hub for the markets of western Africa for the eyes of many international partners.

 These geographical and historical qualities of Senegal are strengthened by an unparalleled level of equipments in the region as regards telecommunications, the expertise in terms of road infrastructures.

The year2000 saw the fulfillment of the first political change in an exemplary civility and maturity; since then, the effect of remissions of debt, the increased influx of foreign direct investments, the intensification of the sector of buildings and civil engineering, pursuit of a stimulation policy of the demand by the increase of the public spending and the mastery of the inflation lead to an acceleration of the growth, which, without reaching the levels set by the most optimistic projections, exceed the annual rate of 5 %.

The short-term growth remains weighed down by the costs and the availability of the energy, the urban congestion of the Dakar conglomeration , the secondary effects of the enormous incomes sent by the emigrated workers. But, despite the level of the population growth, the State takes care of the development of the human resources by an exemplary support policy towards education and health promotion.

Later, the economic growth is also worn by a strategy of promotion of the physical infrastructures, in connection with the neighbors, a development of the integration within the West African Economic and Monetary Union, the intensification of the public partnership with the traditional allies but also with the new suppliers, among whom Morocco, South Africa, India and China, appeal to public and private partnership to carry out the investments.
